Sustainable cities

The  rise of the attention to the concept of sustainable development emerged interconnected with the rise of awareness that the future of humans is an urbanized one – and thus the sustainable cities movement was born. There is an enormous amount of information on this issue available – a few good resources are noted below.

• Sustainable Cities Intl – This Vancouver-based NGO has been a leader in the work on this issue for decades and their site offers a wide range of resources on the topic. http://sustainablecities.net/
